Abstract
Recently, researches attention has been focused on the development of mucosal immunity strategies based on the use of probiotic spores as mucosal adjuvant. Therefore, they represent a good adjuvant to deliver antigens into the gastrointestinal tract and they could be used to mucosal vaccine. The mucosal vaccinology was used also for down-regulating inflammatory conditions. Among these conditions, celiac disease (CD) represents a very interesting model to test possible immunomodulatory strategies. So the aim of my research has been the use of Bacillus subtilis spores as a display system to development an immunomodulatory strategies for celiac disease.
