Abstract
The aim of this thesis has been focused to analyze the positive regulation of Myc-mediated transcription by P-TEFb elongation complex, and the negative control exerted by p14ARF onco-suppressor on Myc's transactivation functions. Moreover in a parallel line of research I investigated the p14ARF involvement on Tat-mediated transcriptional transactivation of HIV-1 (Human Immunodeficiency Virus 1)gene.
