Collection description
The thesis is oriented to the fundamental study and screening of a class of iminato based Ti catalysts, aimed to the copolymerization processes. The high throughput experimentation (HTE) tools and methods, could be, in principle, of extreme help in speeding-up the development of new systems, featuring higher TOF and satisfying certain requirements, due to the fact that the hyperspace of the catalyst performance can be screened in a comparatively low amount of time. On the other hand, olefin polymerization catalysis is a tough task even for the powerful HTE technologies and, without the proper knowledge of catalysts behaviour, the reliability of these new experimental and fast techniques is never granted. The scope of the thesis is the implementation of new methods to screen the iminato catalysts in copolymerization, starting from the fundamental investigation of the catalyst behavior in copolymerization.
