Abstract
This thesis examines the role of artificial intelligence in shaping public service provision using a theoretical framework based on Public Service Logic. Specifically, the research explores how the introduction and use of artificial intelligence, particularly through conversational agents, affects the value proposition of public services. The thesis has a structure consisting of four interrelated academic contributions. The literature review in the first chapter establishes the necessary conceptual foundations to advance current knowledge on the topic, while the subsequent contributions address the research gaps identified in extant studies by providing empirical evidence to contribute to scholarly discourse in this field.
