Abstract

The thesis explores fundamental questions about the physics of the early Universe, focusing on the study of primordial quantum perturbations during the inflationary epoch. These perturbations, analyzed through the Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation (CMBR), offer insights into the initial conditions of the Universe and address the Horizon Problem through a quasi-de Sitter expansion. A key aspect is understanding how high-energy environments near the Planck scale influence these perturbations, emphasizing the role of initial quantum states. The research examines tensor and scalar sectors, highlighting deviations from standard results and implications for distinctive signatures in the primordial gravitational wave spectrum. Additionally, it investigates the potential impact of extra fields, such as gauge fields. The findings aim to contribute to future observational efforts and expand our understanding of the Universe’s earliest moments.
