Abstract

The dynamics of systems governed by strong interaction in presence of a heavy source of the colour field is investigated. In the first part, the effective framework of the Heavy Quark Effective Theory is adopted to obtain a next-to-next-to leading order parameterization of hadronic form factors relevant for $\Lambda_b\to\Lambda_c^*$ transitions. While accounting for the most recent lattice data, the new parameterization stands as a landmark to properly address flavour anomalies and search of New Physics in the sector of heavy baryons. In the second part, the dynamics of mesons with a heavy quark is studied within QCD Conformal Window. Precise results on mass spectra and wave functions are derived, raising new strategies to test conformality in non-Abelian gauge theories, as well as offering an intriguing new landscape of states to employ in dark extension of the Standard Model. The control over the residual gluon dynamics enables to attach from first-principle the issue of loss of conformality, leading to new predicitions on the lower boundary of the Conformal Window.
