Abstract

Different blends of various grades of polyethylene (low density PolyEthylene (LDPE), linear low density PolyEthylene (LLDPE) and medium density PolyEthylene (MDPE), specialty of etherophasic copolymers propylene-ethylene and inorganic additives, as talc and calcium carbonate, were used for the production of multilayered films for healthcare applications. These films were obtained through the blow extrusion process using a pilot plant at company Blu Plast. This study was aimed to the improvement of the characteristic of soft-touch and mechanical performance of films used as back-sheet, whitout resorting surface treatment. Moreover, the management system of quality control of the company Blu Plast was implemented.
